Direct Install Program
The SJG Direct Install Program is tailored to provide small businesses, non-profit and faith-based organizations, municipalities and schools incentives of up to 80% of the project cost for comprehensive natural gas and electric energy efficiency upgrades. An Energy Advisor will provide a free energy assessment, along with natural gas and electric energy efficiency improvement recommendations, energy savings potential and a comprehensive proposal for your upgrades. Your facility will benefit immediately from energy efficiency upgrades installed by the Energy Advisor during the assessment.

How to participate
- Schedule a free, no-obligation energy assessment with SJG’s Direct Install Program Administrator, CMC Energy Services (CMC).
- Receive an on-site energy assessment and a report outlining all equipment eligible for replacement. This assessment includes a comprehensive proposal for equipment upgrades with estimated energy savings and simple return-on-investment payback.
- Move forward with your energy efficiency upgrades with up to 80% of the project cost covered by the SJG Direct Install Program and enjoy the energy savings. Balance not covered by the incentive can be paid in a lump sum or through an interest-free on-bill repayment option with a term of five years.
- Schedule your energy efficiency upgrade project with CMC. CMC manages project installation and all of the program paperwork to provide a hassle-free program experience.

Eligibility
SJG’s Direct Install Program is available to natural gas customers with an average peak electrical demand of 200 kW or less over the last 12 months. The program is divided into two tiers of eligibility. Tier 1 customers will receive incentives up to 80% of the total project cost and Tier 2 customers will receive up to 70% of the total project cost.
Tier 1 customers include:
- Non-residential customers with an average peak electrical demand up to 100 kW.
- Non-residential customers with an average peak electrical demand up to 200 kW within designated Opportunity Zones or Urban Enterprise Zones (UEZ) and owned or operated by a local government, K-12 public school.
Tier 2 customers include:
- Non-residential customers with an average peak electrical demand of 101-200 kW.
