Route 30 Construction to start on or about July 27th
Please be advised that on or about July 27¬th, work will commence on the Route 30 Elwood Road/Weymouth Road (CR 623) to Haddon Avenue Pavement Resurfacing Project. This includes work in Mullica Township, Egg Harbor City, Galloway Township, and Absecon City. The work involves grading, HMA milling and paving, drainage, sewer and utilities, guiderail and compressive barriers, concrete ADA ramps/driveways/sidewalk, traffic signal modifications, Weigh-in-Motion Stations, an ITS Traffic Camera, and regulatory signs. This also includes the incidental work items such as pavement reflectors, striping, markings, and turf repair. At this time, the Contractor, South State Inc., expects to begin working in Egg Harbor City, Monday through Thursday, with hours generally between 8pm to 6am. This work will involve lane closures. Lane closures are also permitted and to be expected on Monday through Thursday from 9am to 3pm and Friday from 9am to 2pm. Weekend restrictions are lifted after the summer season.
