Vape Battery Disposal
Vape batteries and most non-alkaline batteries are considered hazardous waste and should be disposed of properly. Vape batteries can be taken to most local vape shops for recycling or to ACUA Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Offs throughout the year (www.acua.com/hhw).
Recently, ACUA experienced a fire along their trash collection route in Linwood. It was discovered that a vape battery caused the fire. See attached press release.
