2/17/15 Land Use Board Meeting Minutes

MUNICIPAL LAND USE BOARD
FEBRUARY 17, 2015
7:00 P.M.

A regular meeting of the Egg Harbor City Municipal Land Use Board was held on February 17, 2015. Those in attendance were Mayor Lisa Jiampetti, City Council President Edward Dennis, Chairman Gerhard Mueller, Richard Colby, Don Milne, Todd Warker, Michael McKenna, Jack Peterson, Alternate Kristin DeClementi, Solicitor Jim Schroeder, City Planner Tim Michel, Engineer Ryan McGowan and Secretary Donna Heffley.

Chairman Mueller called the meeting to order.

This meeting was advertised pursuant to the NJ Open Public Meetings Act N.J.S.A. 1:4-6 Seq. Notices were sent to official publications for the Egg Harbor City Municipal Land Use Board; the Press of Atlantic City, the Egg Harbor News, the Atlantic Current and the Hammonton Gazette. A copy of the notice was posted on the bulletin board of the Egg Harbor City Municipal Building.

The Chairman directed this announcement to be entered into the minutes.

Approval of Minutes: January 20, 2015.
Upon motion made by Mr. Colby, seconded by Mr. Michael McKenna and carried the January 20, 2015 minutes were approved.

Upon motion made by Mr. Warker, seconded by Mr. Peterson and carried Resolution #1-15 LUB was approved.

Kristin DeClementi was sworn in by Mayor Jiampetti as alternate for the Municipal Land Use Board.
Tim Michel reviewed his report dated February 12, 2014 which concerned procedures the Land Use Board Members will follow.

Mr. Michel also discussed the possibility of an Adult Day Care Center being interested in the Acme site and discussed what procedures would be taken for the application process.

Board Members and Professionals disused the possible application.

Mr. Dennis arrived at 7:14 p.m.

Council Report: Mayor Jiampetti recognized Danny Seaver for his achievement of becoming 2014 Municipal Alliance Volunteer of the Year. Danny helped begin the Crusaders basketball team which is now a very successful traveling team; he also began a baseball league for ages 18 to 25. Thank you, Danny for volunteering your time to the City. Three officers were recognized for outstanding performance; Sergeant Landicini , Officer Hurley and Officer Akert. The Green Team is now revised website.

Mr. Dennis discussed some of the issues that the Code Enforcement Department is facing with Rental Properties.

Solicitor Schroeder addressed this issue and discussed possible solutions to the problems Code Enforcement is facing.

Solicitor Schroeder suggested that the fine schedule be reviewed and discussed.

Mr. Warker suggested that once a month a Code Official attends the Land Use Board Meeting to give a report on problems and progress in the City.

Mr. Dennis asked that all Code Officials attend the next meeting on March 17, 2015.

Public Portion of the meeting was opened:
Hazel Mueller announced that Mr. Lewis from the Conifer Project will be attending the next Historical Society meeting scheduled for March 30, 2015 to answer any questions people may have concerning the new senior housing on Philadelphia Avenue.

The Public Portion of the meeting was closed.
