Atlantic County Housing Rehabilitation Program
Interest-free deferred loans up to $20,000 for low income homeowners and grant-loan programs for very low income homeowners to perform basic housing rehabilitation, including plumbing, heating, electric, roof, windows, doors, insulation and exterior repairs and painting.

Atlantic County Home Buyers Program
First-time homebuyer assistance, including down payment and closing costs up to $20,000, for families with incomes below 80% of median income for home purchases under $200,000.  For

TAX ABATEMENTS

Residential Abatement Program
Tax abatements are available for residential property owners for additions to existing properties.  Taxes on the first $15,000 of the total assessed valuation of the improvement will be fully abated for five years after the project is completed.

Commercial Tax Abatements
Tax abatements are available for new commercial properties in the Egg Harbor City Industrial Park and for additions to existing businesses.  Taxes on the full assessed valuation of the improvement will be abated in 20-percent increments for five years after the project is completed.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Egg Harbor City Industrial Park
A limited number of fully improved building sites are available in Phase I of the Egg Harbor City Industrial Park.  The city has started an expansion program, which will open up additional building sites in Phase II of the park.
