Lillian Debow, the City Clerk is the keeper of official records in EHC. She
has been keeping vital statistics such as marriage licenses, birth certificates,
and unfortunately death certificates in EHC for 25 years. She is a longtime municipal
clerk with certifications from Association of Registrars & Clerks. The clerk
has recently linked the community news public access television channel with
the local schools. Lillian is also on the cemetery board and is taking orders
that reserve entombment space for the new mausoleum that is under construction.
Marlene Dempsey assists the City Clerk and is the Industrial Commission secretary.

Jodi Kahn is the Chief Financial Officer. Jodi is a fully certified Municipal Financial Officerl and has tenure in EHC with over twelve years of service.
She is a valuable employee that holds state certification licenses as a Tax
Collector and a Purchasing Agent. The city is fortunate to have someone in
charge of finance that has the experience, stability and knowledge of the
community.

Beverly Totten and Donna Meineke
collect taxes, water, and sewer. They also take care of recreation revenue.
Both are certified as collectors. The tax office is open Monday through Friday,
9am to 4pm.

The Egg Harbor City Fire Department was established in 1880, as two separate
companies. In 1919 a new firehouse was built in the 100 block of Philadelphia
Ave. and the two companies merged to form the Egg Harbor City Fire Department.
Today the EHC Fire Department is housed at 631 Philadelphia Ave. consisting
of a Chief, Asst. Chief, 4 Squad Captains, 1 Safety Officer and 4 Fire Wardens.
The Department has a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Asst.
Secretary Treasurer.
Egg Harbor City has a 75’ Ladder Truck, 3 Pumpers, a Utility Truck
and a Chief’s car.

Recycling products- glass, plastic, or papers wood are removed bi-weekly
by the county ACUA.

The City has consistently provided
water service for over a hundred years. Citizens pumped to Sewer Treatment
plant in town until 1990’s. The city
agreed to join the Atlantic County Utility Authority in 1985 and hooked up
in 1991. |
