ANNUAL COMMUNITY EVENTS

Various organizations plan annual events throughout the year.  The Egg Harbor City Municipal Alliance encourages family participation in these events, which have become a hallmark of living in small-town America.

Memorial Day Parade and Services           
Held Memorial Day morning, organized by the Egg Harbor City Rotary Club.

Hometown Celebration                       
Held the weekend after the 4th of July.  A three-day community celebration held at the Egg Harbor City Lake and Campground.  Organized by the Egg Harbor City Community Committee.

Bud Weber’s Bicycle Parade           
Held the Sunday after the 4th of July.  Organized by the Community Committee.

Citywide Sidewalk Sale                       
Held the first Saturday in August.  Citywide yard sales and sidewalk sale on Philadelphia Avenue.  Organized by the Chamber of Commerce.

Egg Harbor City DARE Olympics           
Held at the Egg Harbor City Lake the second Wednesday in August (raindate the following Friday).  A fun day of children’s games; honors local athletes who excel during the year.  Organized by the Egg Harbor City Municipal Alliance.

Halloween Contest and Parade           
Held the Saturday closest to Halloween.  Organized by the Egg Harbor City Rotary Club.

Veterans’ Day Parade and Services           
Held the evening of Veterans’ Day.  Organized by the Egg Harbor City Rotary Club.

Winter on the Avenue Holiday Parade           
Saturday evening in early to mid-December.  Organized by Brian Beals.

Tree Lighting & Caroling in Lincoln Park           
Second Friday after Thanksgiving.  Organized by weloveehc.org.
