"Gavin’s Day " The Egg Harbor City Crusaders Youth Athletic Association will be hosting Gavin’s Day, a special event to honor the life of Gavin Pabst, a local seven year-old who passed away on November 12, 2014. Gavin had a love for baseball and enjoyed spending time playing t-ball for the Crusaders. The event is scheduled for Saturday May 2, 2015 [rain date Sunday, May 3, 2015]. The Crusaders are hoping that members of our community will assist in making Gavin’s Day extra special. The Crusaders are hoping to bring family, friends, and the community together to celebrate the life of Gavin and the love he had for baseball. We hope in making this a memorable day for all. Gavin's Day "Take Me Out to the Ballgame ..." Please join the Egg Harbor City Crusaders as we Celebrate the life of Gavin Pabst on Saturday May 2, 2015 (rain date Sunday, May 3) at the Key Rec Tee-Ball Field, located on the corner of St Louis & Duerer St. Egg Harbor City, NJ from 1:00 pm - 4:00 p.m. The day will start off with Crusader’s Tee-Ball game at 1:00 p.m. followed by Fun Activities for all ages at 2:00 p.m. The activities include a Home Run Derby Bike Raffle, Carnival Style Game Bounce House, Face Painting, Dunk Tank, Refreshments and Fire Trucks. 8th Annual City-wide Cleanup Day Slated for May 2, 2015 Rain OR Shine Egg Harbor City is planning their eighth annual City-wide Clean-Up Day on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. Rain OR Shine. Residents, church groups, organizations, clubs, and businesses are being asked to participate by cleaning up litter and recycles on streets, roads, avenues, terraces, and creeks throughout the city. Following the clean-up at 11:00 a.m., all volunteers are invited to the Lake pavilion for a FREE Community BBQ provided by the ACUA. All churches, schools, civic groups, sports teams, sports organizations, and Boy/Girl/Cub Scouts can enter into a drawing to win one of EIGHT CASH AWARD of $250.00 on the day of the event! Also, participants can obtain a certificate for 6 hours of community service. Just return your grabbers to the Lake pavilion at 11:00 a.m. to receive your entry form and certificate. *Drawing will around 12:00 p.m. Pick up trash bags, recycle bags, gloves, litter grabbers and a FREE ACUA tee-shirt at the Egg Harbor City Fire House on Philadelphia Ave. at 8:00 a.m. This is a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors and clean up the city at the same time! The Kiwanis Club of Egg Harbor City will host a used clothing collection from 9:00am-2pm. Saturday, May 16th at the Egg Harbor City Community School, 730 Havana Avenue. Kiwanis is collecting wearable and usable men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, shoes belts, handbags and linens (including bedding, curtains and towels). Stuffed animals and hard toys and other baby items will also be accepted. Items should be placed in tightly tied plastic bags. Kiwanis will receive money for every pound of items collected. Color-A-Thon fundraiser being sponsored by the EHC PTO and Cedar Creek Key Club on Saturday, May 30, 2015 with registration at 8:00 a.m. at Cedar Creek High School, 1701 New York Avenue, Egg Harbor City. The Color Fun Run event will support the Egg Harbor City PTO and Cedar Creek Key Club and the March of Dimes. The event cost $30 per participant to run, and with pre-registration by May 1st you will receive a free color packet and T-shirt with that entrance fee.
