Egg Harbor City Kiwanis is participating in Operation Cupcake where members will be collecting non-perishable baking goods. Egg Harbor City Kiwanis is looking for donations of box cake mixes, frosting, vegetable oil, cake decorations such as sprinkles, jimmies and sugars for Operation Cupcake. Monetary donations are also accepted. Operation Cupcake is a 501 c (3) charitable organization. The cupcakes are made and distributed by two fifth grade New Jersey girls who wanted to use their love of baking cupcakes to support Hurricane Sandy victims and relief workers. Their first delivery was 400 cupcakes to a Red Cross Shelter near Bordentown. Since then they have delivered more than 20,000 cupcakes to shelters, police, firefighters, emergency responders, retirement homes, food pantries, residents and distribution centers. Today, Operation Cupcake’s mission is to impact people’s lives, and make a difference with simple acts of kindness. Donations will be accepted until February 18, 2015 and may be dropped off at the office of attorney James E. McGeary at 218 Philadelphia Ave., Egg Harbor City. For information call 609-965-3380.

Costs: $5, age 6 and younger Free; tickets sold at the door. For info call 609-593-3560. A student-prepared dance showcase featuring all original works under Dance teacher/instructor Ashley Tabano. Student Works showcase will feature dances choreographed solely by the students in the school's dance classes. All the dances in the concert illustrate the students' originality, creativity and artistry through movement. Students have put together their own ideas and movements and come up with costumes and lighting. During intermission a concession stand in the lobby will be available for refreshments, proceeds to benefit the dance department for the purchase of future costumes and props.
