Protecting Water Pipes from Freezing
This is a reminder from the Egg Harbor City Water Department to please take precautions to protect your water pipes from freezing during the upcoming cold weather event expected to arrive this evening.
Take precautions such as:
1) Closing all crawl space doors and vents
2) Turning off water to outside faucets
3) Insulating pipes in unheated areas
4) Open cabinet doors to allow heat to reach pipes
Make sure you know where the main shut off valve is in case of a burst pipe.
